Susan has been an employee of MIRMA since July 1, 2008. Susan worked for Crawford & Company Insurance Adjusters for 27 years and Ward North America/NovaPro Risk Solutions for 5 years before coming to MIRMA.
Susan is the first voice you will hear when calling the MIRMA office and will gladly assist you in any manner necessary. Susan’s main responsibility is receiving all claim and incident reports, and making sure they are input into the claim system. She monitors the Spectrum claim system, assigns new claim numbers and provides the necessary claim information to MIRMA’s third party administrator, CCMI. Susan has several other duties to include assisting Gina Viertel, Sr. Workers’ Compensation Adjuster, with inputting claim related payments, submitting workers’ compensation medical bills to the bill review provider and after processing, monitors the EOR’s for release and payment. Susan handles the incoming mail, updates the Membership Roster along with e-mail contacts, responds to data received in reference to the Medicare Reporting System, and replies to inquiries from the Division of Workers’ Compensation requesting data needed to comply with their standards.
